Comebacking Gulldén shone in the World Cup premiere

The biggest question mark for Sweden's premiere in the Handball World Cup was comebacking Isabelle Gulldén's form. Delete that question mark. Despite limited playing time, the star showed a test of class handball in what eventually became a simple victory against Congo, 26-16.

- A nice first match, nice with two points, says Linn Blohm in TV 6 broadcast.

If Sweden is to do well in this handball World Cup, it probably requires that, after pregnancy, comebacking Isabelle Gulldén plays at a high level.

And even though it was "only" the Congo that stood for the resistance, it is already possible to state that Gulldén will contribute.

In an otherwise rather sluggish introduction, Gulldén shone several times with mainly fine foreplay. Her patented look made the Congolese defense time and time again.

After another heavy start for Sweden, that was exactly what got Sweden started and the early 2-5 draw was changed to 11-8 at break.
