Mauricio Pochettino has spoken for the first time since he was sacked by Tottenham last week. In a statement, he thanks, among other things, for being given the chance to "be a part of Tottenham's history" and the football coach also thanks everyone he met during his more than five years at the club.

“I did my best to achieve the goals I was asked for during our first meeting. There were as many difficult challenges as exciting successes, "the Argentine writes according to the BBC.

He continues:

“Finally, I would like to direct a special thought to the supporters who make this club so incredible with their fantastic support. Good luck in the future, I'm sure our roads will cross again ”.

Pochettino had to leave Tottenham after a weak fall in results. He has been replaced by José Mourinho who has started with two straight wins.

"Spurs" ranks tenth in the Premier League after 13 games played.
