Portugal football striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored 14 goals in official matches for his national team in the calendar year 2019.

This was reported by the Gracenote Live blog on the social network Twitter.

This indicator is the new record of the Portuguese national team. The previous achievement was 13 goals and was set by Cristiano in 2016, when he helped his compatriots win the European Championship.

In 2019, Ronaldo took part in 10 matches in the Portuguese national team - eight meetings of the qualifying tournament of the European Football Championship 2020 and two matches of the playoffs of Division A of the League of Nations. In seven of them, he scored at least one goal scored, having issued two hat-tricks and one poker.

It was previously reported that Ronaldo’s exact blow helped Portugal defeat Luxembourg and qualify for Euro 2020.
