Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov said that city authorities have been discussing the issue of increasing the cost of travel in urban public transport since 2020.

“We still carry out the corresponding calculations,” RIA Novosti quoted Beglov as saying.

He noted that for those who use the Podorozhnik pass, the fare will increase by 5-8%, while for Petersburg guests, ticket prices can increase by 10-15 rubles.

The governor said that one-time metro travel is mainly used by city guests.
