India intends to further develop military-technical cooperation (MTC) with Russia, despite pressure from the United States. This was stated by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.

“Rajnath Singh has once again confirmed that India is aimed at further developing military-technical cooperation with Russia, strengthening ties between the military-industrial complex of both countries,” the press service of the Russian government said.

As noted, the head of the Ministry of Defense "emphasized that India does not intend to go down this path, despite pressure from the United States."

Earlier, Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar said that the United States can not indicate to the Indian side whether it can buy military equipment from Russia or not.

The State Duma commented on the FAN statement of the Indian Minister.
