The Russian Embassy in the United States is outraged by Washington’s refusal to extradite the Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko. According to the agency, the US side did not provide any justification for the rejection of the Russian request.

“No justification was given for the rejection of the Russian request, other than formal statements that the actions of our compatriot are“ serious ”were not submitted. In fact, the humanitarian component of the issue has been ignored - the worsening state of his health, ”the diplomatic service said on Facebook.

The embassy also said that the US side "continues to show inhumane attitude and cruelty towards the Russian."

Earlier it was reported that the United States refused to transfer the pilot to Russia.

A Russian was convicted in the United States in 2011 on charges of conspiracy to illegally transport drugs.

An American court sentenced him to 20 years in a general prison.
