Russian Embassy calls on US to stop hunting for Russians

The Russian Embassy in the United States, commenting on the message of the US diplomatic mission in Russia on the release of Maria Butina, called on Washington to stop hunting for the Russians.

“Stop hunting for Russians around the world,” the message said on the Russian Embassy’s Twitter page.

The Russian diplomatic mission noted that the Russians still remain in US prisons, "convicted on trumped-up charges."

“The civilized approach is the use of existing mechanisms of legal cooperation,” the embassy emphasized.

On October 26, Butina flew to Moscow.
