The plan: Hair tricks will provide Olympic gold

10/5/2019, 7:25:16 AM

Tonight it was the World Cup bronze for Perseus Karlström. Next year he is aiming for a nobler value in the Olympics. The recipe to fix it: Shorter hair. "In Tokyo there will be less hair, I can promise," he says.

It was brutal heat and humidity in Qatar during the World Cup in progress, for Perseus Karlström and the others. Afterwards, he admitted that it was brutally difficult.

- When it changed, then it changed a lot! It was awkward in the end. But it was just to cool down the body as much as possible, he says.

Promises a haircut

Extreme heat is also expected at the Tokyo Olympics next year. And to give himself better opportunities to take an even finer position, he now makes a promise:

- I have, as you see, cut me. But it will be the phase to shave the skull for next year, because I have to remove all insulation. So in Tokyo there will probably be less hair. I can promise that, he says with a laugh.
