Saturday is the presidential election in Afghanistan, in the capital Kabul there are many young people who are thinking of voting despite the fact that the Taliban in the country have threatened to attack polling stations, elections and gatherings before Election Day.

Since the peace talks between the Taliban movement and the US collapsed earlier in September, the Taliban have performed several bloody acts in the country. The Afghan government has responded with air strikes and around 70,000 military and police officers are trying to ensure security during Election Day. Of the country's more than 35 million inhabitants, only about a quarter, 9 million, have registered and can vote.

“My life has been very suffering, if the Taliban regains power in Afghanistan, my dreams will be lost. Says 18-year-old Shamayeel Alkozai, who is worried that corruption and violence can mean low voter turnout.
