Fire in Enköping - apartment blocks are being evacuated

It's burning in an apartment block in Enköping. The rescue service is in place with a large number of cars - and about thirty apartments are vacated. "The fire has caused a strong smoke development that goes over E18 some distance and leads to poor visibility," says Tor Stens, RLC commander of the police.

The alarm came at 23.27 on Saturday evening. It had then started burning in a multi-family house in Enköping.

- According to the rescue service, there is a recorded fire along the roof foot of the house, says Mia Lorén at SOS Alarm.

The rescue service is in place with a large number of fire trucks, according to SOS Alarm. An ambulance has also been in place but it is unclear if anyone is injured. At the same time, the police have started to evacuate the house.
