September 8 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet theater and film actress Lyudmila Tselikovskaya. She was born in the family of a conductor and an opera singer, who predicted her a career as a professional musician. However, after school, Tselikovskaya entered the Shchukin Theater School. Even as a student, she was enrolled in the troupe of the Vakhtangov Moscow Theater. There, the actress made her debut in the production of “The Servant of Two Masters”. Her first film work was the movie Young Captains. Among the famous films with the participation of Tselikovskaya are “Hearts of Four”, “Ivan the Terrible”, “Air Carrier”, “We Have Met Somewhere” and “Jumpers”. The name of Lyudmila Tselikovskaya is often associated with the formation of the Taganka Theater - she was the author of a number of first productions.
