Hedvig Lindahl nominated as the world's best goalkeeper

Hedvig Lindahl was a big part of the Swedish bronze set that was salvaged in France during the World Cup last summer. Now the cage guard is rewarded with a place among the three nominees for the award "The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper Award". The winner will be announced on September 23.

One of the world's three best goalkeepers, Hedvig Lindahl can now be called himself. After a fantastic World Cup tuning, where the penalty shoot-out against Canada in the eighth finals might weigh most, Hedvig Lindahl is nominated as the world's best goalkeeper when FIFA announced the finalists in "The Best Awards" in Milan.

The other two nominated goalkeepers are Chile's Christiane Endler and the Netherlands' Sari van Veenendaal. The winner will be announced on September 23.
