Then: A slender 15-year-old who was hit by two Finns. When Armand Duplantis now enters Finnkampen, he does so with an EM gold in the medal cupboard and with the hope of challenging the record at Stockholm Stadium. - If it is good weather and I hope well then I can hopefully try, says Duplantis to SVT Sport.

In 2015, a then 15-year-old Armand Duplantis jumped 5.17 at Finnkampen in Stockholm. Four years later, the Swedish-American pole vaulter has broken the six-meter wall and won the European gold.

- I have bitter-loving feelings for the last time I was here. Then I didn't jump as high as I wanted. But to stand on stage in front of large audiences I will never forget. Whether it was good or bad, Duplantis tells SVT Sport.

This time Duplantis hopes that Sweden will win the Finn fight - and that he can challenge himself for the stadium record of 5.95.

- It would feel good to take the stadium record there. If it's good weather and I jump well then hopefully I can try.
