Singer Laima Vaikule said she would like the New Wave contest, founded by producer Igor Krutoy, to be held again in Latvian Jurmala. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Vaikule is the founder of the Laima Rendezvous Jurmala music festival.

“For many years I performed on the New Wave and I really liked this contest, I want him to come back. I don’t understand why there cannot be two festivals, we have been having them all summer in Jurmala, ”she said.

According to her, “New Wave” by Krutoy is a competition, and her event is a festival, so “they don’t interfere with each other, they are completely different.”

“I love Igor very much and have a very good attitude to the New Wave, he was in place in Jurmala, there are so many Russian-speaking public,” she said.

Earlier, director of Vaikule Alexei Yakovlev said that there was no conflict between the performer and composer Igor Krutym.
