Died conductor Alexander Vakulsky

The conductor of the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, Alexander Vakulsky, died in the Netherlands at the age of 71. This is reported by the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan.


"In Holland, the famous conductor, born in Iglinsky district, Alexander Vakulsky, died," - said in a statement.

The Ministry expressed deep condolences to the family, friends and admirers of the talent of the maestro.

As noted, Vakulsky is widely known in many European countries, he was called the most talented Russian conductor of our time.

The musician worked for 23 years as chief conductor of the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra. He also collaborated with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, and later became his main permanent guest conductor.
