The EU decided to extend sanctions against Russia for six months

The heads of state and government of the European Union decided to extend economic sanctions against Russia for 6 months.


“Sanctions against Russia have been unanimously extended for another six months due to insufficient implementation of the Minsk agreements,” a representative of the European Council told the media at an EU summit in Brussels.

Earlier, the Council of the European Union extended the package of economic sanctions against Russia, introduced in connection with the annexation of the Crimea.
