The European Council called for the resumption of negotiations for the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This is stated in a statement adopted at the EU summit in Brussels.

“The European Council calls for an urgent resumption of negotiations with a view to implementing the Minsk agreements and measures aimed at restoring confidence between the parties,” the text says.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, at a meeting with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, said that the European Union was ready to contribute to progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
