Savchenko nominated for presidency of Ukraine

Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, who has been in custody for the past 10 months, was nominated for the presidency of Ukraine at the congress of the Nadezhda Savchenko Social and Political Platform party.


According to the Ukrainian "Vesti", about 100 delegates from different regions of the country unanimously voted for her candidacy.

Earlier, Savchenko said that the country's security service (SBU) is blocking the registration process by its presidential candidate.

Presidential elections in Ukraine will be held March 31. The election campaign started on December 31.
