Angela Davis celebrates anniversary

75 years ago, Angela Davis was born - one of the most famous activists who fought for the rights of black people in the USA. During the Cold War, Davis joined the Communist Party, for which she was persecuted by the US authorities. When she was put in prison on charges of involvement in taking hostages, thousands of people in and outside the United States called for her release. Angela Davis is still continuing her advocacy work.
