“The relationship with the audience should be a secret”: 75 years since the birth of Oleg Yankovsky

On February 23, 1944, Soviet and Russian actor Oleg Yankovsky was born. He made his film debut in 1968, starring in Vladimir Basov's cult film Shield and Sword. The picture was a great success with the audience and instantly glorified the young artist. His record includes no less successful "Two Comrades Served," "My Sweet and Tender Beast," "Flights in Dream and Real", "Ordinary Miracle", "That Munchhausen" and "Star of Captivating Happiness." In total, Yankovsky has played in more than 80 films. For his contribution to the development of cinema and theatrical art, he won a number of awards, and in 1991 received the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
