Yesterday (1st) afternoon, a fire broke out in an apartment in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do, and 4 people died and 1 was seriously injured.

A fire started in a house on the 12th floor that was under remodeling, and the police and fire departments are expected to conduct a joint inspection today.

Red flames soar outside the veranda of the apartment, and the sprinkler pumps water constantly.



At around 4:40 pm yesterday, a report was received that there was an explosion on the 12th floor of an apartment on the 25th floor in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province.

fire went out in 30 minutes, but 4 people died and 7 people were injured.



One of the wounded is known to be in critical condition.



Of the four people who died, two people, including 31-year-old A, fell and died.



Two residents, including 35-year-old Mr. B, were found in front of an elevator unit near the rooftop, and fire authorities believe they may have died because they could not find the emergency exit location.



The police and fire authorities believe that interior interior work was underway at the time, and are looking into the connection to the fire.



It is known that inflammable materials such as electric stove and urethane foam were also found in the house with fire.



At the time of the fire, there was an elevated ladder truck for use by directors, and apartment residents who made a request for rescue were rescued through the ladder truck.



Police and fire departments will be conducting a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire as the day dawns this morning.
