you may have heard, the Haekyung made the grounds that Mr. Lee judged that he had gone north, but since these are all circumstantial evidences, I still have questions.

of the most eye-catching reasons among the evidences revealed by the Coast Guard is that there is a situation in which Mr. Lee, who died, announced his intention to defect to North Korea.

This is based on intelligence data from the Ministry of National Defense, and it is known that it was captured in the process of internal communication within the North Korean military, not in the direct training of Mr. Lee.

Even if Mr. Lee expressed his intention to escape to North Korea, the possibility that he did so to survive cannot be ruled out.

There is also a question whether it can be seen as a direct basis for North Korea that he wore a life jacket.

So far, the coast guard has not even been able to determine whether Mr. Lee actually jumped in a life jacket or what life jacket he wore on the ship.

The fact that it swam 38km to the north, depending only on life jackets and floats, is only an estimate through tidal current analysis.

It is possible to infer the possibility of defecting to North Korea through the records of Lee's PC or smartphone search, or through statements made to colleagues around him.

The bereaved family held a foreign press conference and rebelled fiercely.

Despite lack of direct evidence to prove Mr. Lee's defection to North Korea, the North Korean military decided to defect to North Korea. There are voices of concern as to whether the nature of the incident by the murder of civilians is obscured.
