order to prevent the spread of the corona, several conservative groups are continuing to push ahead with a plan to rally while in a car after the quarantine authorities banned urban gatherings during the opening day.

In response, the police also explained detailed penalty rules and warned that they would suspend or cancel their licenses if a vehicle assembly was enforced.

Last month's Liberation Day rally in downtown.

Some conservative groups applied for less than 2,000 participants, but in reality more than 10,000 people gathered.

This happened when several group participants joined the rally that reported a small number of people.

The police said they would block such a possibility this year, and that they would ban assemblies with less than 10 people and less than 10 vehicles in the city center.

It was decided to take advantage of the penalties stipulated in the Road Traffic Act to suspend or revoke the licenses of participants in prohibited rides.

If you fail to comply with the traffic policeman's legitimate instructions three or more times, or if two or more vehicles pass in a row without justifiable reason and cause danger, you can impose a penalty of 40 points and suspend your license.

Conservative groups are filing provisional injunctions to courts one after another, saying they are violating the freedom of assembly guaranteed by the Constitution.

[Myung-jin Choi/Secretary General of the People's Movement for New Korea: Vehicle demonstrations have nothing to do with the Corona, but they not only suppress the people's freedom of expression, they are fundamentally a violation of the Constitution.]

The Participation Solidarity also urged the organizers of the assembly to comply with the quarantine guidelines, but put out the position that "If there is a violation, we will be held responsible, but the assembly should not be blocked at the source."

While the Suwon District Act does not permit assembly of vehicles in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, the Seoul Administrative Court is also expected to conclude a lawsuit for canceling the ban on the assembly by the August 15 Emergency Response Committee as early as tomorrow (29th).
