A man in his thirties who went to the grave before Chuseok went missing in the mountains, and was rescued by the fire brigade who launched a drone to search for it.

At about noon on the 26th, a report was filed with the Chungbuk Fire Department at Gukmangsan Mountain, Noeun-myeon, Chungju City.

Mr. A, with a disability, got lost while climbing a mountain with his father to worship the shrine before Chuseok.

A fire brigade and about 40 policemen were dispatched to search for it, while the rapid mobilization team of the Chungbuk Fire Department launched a drone to track the movement, and found Mr. A, who was wandering in the mountains around 2 pm.

The Chungbuk Fire Department has been operating drones since last January to quickly respond to disaster sites. In the first half of this year, 67 cases of drones were used in disaster sites, including the search for missing persons.

An official from the Chungbuk Fire Department said, "We will expand the operation of drones with good mobility for accident prevention and early suppression of disasters."
