Ikea will offer storage boxes for LEGOs - geeko

After launching into connected objects, Ikea announces the arrival of a new collection of very specific furniture. The furniture store chain has indeed joined forces with Lego to release playful storage boxes.

These present Lego “nails” which will allow their users to assemble them as they wish, but also to add a whole range of Lego characters and accessories. Enough to personalize your storage boxes.

“Bygglek offers families a range of products that help them create space for more play in their daily life - fueling creativity, making it possible to have more fun together. It's a possibility to play, to display the cool creations and to come back to them to replay, redo, recreate or start again, ”said Lego designer Rasmus Buch Logstrup.

A wonderful mess

“There is a conflict between how adults view organization and how children view creative play. Each adult walked a Lego brick at night. But arranging Lego bricks the adult way sometimes also means ending the play. Adults sort by typology […] Children sort by story, grouping them into different parts, where you can have a half-built spaceship. And in this you can find the part you need. What if we could turn this perceived mess into something wonderful? », Can we read in the press release from Ikea.

The Bygglek collection includes three sizes of boxes; large, medium and a trio of small, as well as a set of 201 Lego pieces. Prices vary between 9.99 euros and 14.99 euros. The Ikea x Lego storage box collection will launch on October 1, in stores of the Swedish furniture chain.
