The government has decided to postpone the start of the 85th National Medical Examination Practical Exam in 2021 from September 1 to 8 for one week.

On the 31st, Vice Minister of Health and Welfare Kim Kang-rip said, "We will postpone the national examination for doctors by one week to minimize the damage to medical students in order to minimize the damage to medical students."

The government decided to implement it according to the original plan so that students who had been preparing for the test would not be harmed.

Medical school students and medical graduate students are also refusing to take the practical exam while the medical community continues to take a group leave while urging the withdrawal of major policies such as expanding medical school gardens and establishing public medical schools.

According to the Korea National Institute of Health and Medical Examination (hereinafter referred to as the National Institute of Health), as of the 28th, 2,823, or 89%, of the 3,172 candidates canceled the application.

The National Council is currently individually verifying whether the application for cancellation of the test was voluntarily.
