Filming for the fourth season of Elite started this Monday, August 3, but it had to be interrupted after an incident. A case of coronavirus has been detected among the cast of the series, as confirmed by Netflix to the exclusive FormulaTV portal.

People who work in fiction undergo periodic tests and protocol questionnaires to detect positives, in order to take action as soon as possible. This Tuesday, August 4, the case was discovered, which is why the recording of the fiction has stopped.

The company indicates that tests are being carried out on all members of the production team. The results will determine when the filming of the new episodes can be resumed, a date that is currently unknown.

Netflix "is strictly monitoring the situation," according to the aforementioned outlet, and making sure that everyone involved in the fiction receives all the necessary support . They have been able to respond quickly to this incident thanks to the security protocols they have put in place in the face of the situation caused by the health crisis.

New in the cast

On July 20, several signings were confirmed for the fourth season of Elite . Four actors will be added to the series who seem to be joining the students of Las Encinas .

They are Manu Ríos ( Chiringuito de Pepe ), Carla Díaz ( Six sisters ), Martina Cariddi ( While the war lasts ) and Pol Granch (winner of Factor X in 2018).
