A taxi driver in Busan was caught by the police on charges of wielding a weapon while arguing with a passenger.

Today (3rd), the Busan Police Station said it plans to apply for a warrant for a 50-year-old taxi driver A on suspicion of attempted murder. Mr. A is accused of seriously injuring a victim B in his 20s on a road near Mangmi Station in Suyeong-gu, Busan, around 11:00 p.m.

According to a police investigation, Mr. A lowered the window and called for caution when Mr. B was farting several times in the car. From this inception, feelings of each other led to injuries and struggles, and Mr. A took the weapon in the car and committed the crime. The weapon used was thought to be the equipment that Mr. A had packed to go fishing on holidays.

Mr. B is being treated in a hospital with a serious injury such as damage to a part of his organ, but is known to have no problem with life.

The police said, "As a result of Mr. A's wielding the weapon more than ten times, we are planning to apply the charge of attempted murder, not special injury."
