Mr. A, who had known closely with Kim, reported 112 times four times on the 18th of this month, when Mr. Kim was North Korea, saying, “My younger brother (Kim) does not return it after renting a car”.

He registered a used K3 passenger car from his older sister in 2017 in the name of Kim for personal reasons, but reportedly reported it to the police when he could not get the car back.

Mr. A had been investigated for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and after leaving the police station, he said to the reporters, "I was a victim (in the investigation) and claimed that I was a good friend (Mr. Kim) and believed,'Let's do it for a while. I'll bring it to work when I'm done.' The friend disappeared on the morning of the 17th of this month, and the car keys I had had disappeared.”

It was estimated that Mr. Kim was driving a K3 car borrowed from Mr. A to visit Ganghwado Island on the 17th of this month and then returned to Gimpo where he was at home.

The vehicle was found in a used car dealer in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, while the police were investigating his behavior after Kim's North Korea was known.

Police believe that Kim sold the vehicle for 9.8 million won before he fled.

The police will check the name of the K3 passenger car today and investigate whether Kim has alleged misconduct or theft.

However, the police said today that Mr. A has notified the police officers of the North's potential for North Korea, but does not investigate the delayed action today.

A police official said, "If the vehicle is in the name of Mr. Kim, it is difficult to apply for theft and it is necessary to examine the crimes of theft."

Meanwhile, it was estimated that Kim escaped to the Han River through a drainage channel in Wolgot-ri, Ganghwa-do, Incheon on the 18th of this month and then moved to North Korea.

Kim, who worked as a farm worker in Kaesong in the past, was found to have returned to Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si, when he defected three years ago.
