A court ruling has been filed that the disposition of prosecutors who seized the cell phone and laptop of former reporter Lee Dong-jae, who is being investigated for suspicion of Channel A's misconduct, is illegal and must be canceled.

Judge Chan-nyeon Kim, the extremist of the Seoul Central District Court Detective 31, cited some of the complaints filed by the former reporter, and decided that "We will cancel the disposition of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Officer who seized and searched two cell phones and one laptop."

A quasi-appeal is a procedure for filing a complaint with the court against the disposition of a judge, prosecutor, or law enforcement officer.

The court reportedly found it illegal to confiscate the search for a former reporter, noting that the date and place of execution and the rights of the parties were guaranteed in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Act.

However, the court did not accept Lee's claim to return seizures.

A former lawyer for the reporter explained, "If the search for seizures is canceled, the parties can request the return of the seizure, so the court does not have to decide."

On the 27th, the former reporter is requesting the prosecution to return all of the confiscated cell phones and laptops.

In addition, we will ask for the deletion of all forensic material.

In response, the prosecution official said, "It is the investigation team's position that a lawful seizure was made while the warrant was presented and the parties participated."

A former reporter said the prosecution had illegally executed a warrant for seizure and confiscated cell phones and laptops.

The Seoul Central District Attorney Detective Division 1 (Jeong Jin-woong, Assistant Prosecutor) seized and searched five reporters' residences and Channel A headquarters on April 28, and on May 14, met a person in charge of Channel A at the Grand Hyatt Hotel to receive two mobile phones. Confiscation was conducted in the manner of submission.

The former reporter stated on the warrant that if the object to be confiscated is found to be stored in another place by a confiscated person or a related person's statement, it can be seized and searched. Insisted.
