Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office strongly investigated actor Ha Jung-woo, who is suspected of illegally administering propofol, as a suspect.

Prosecutors confronted Mr. Ha in charge of illegally administering propofol, a sleeping anesthetic called “milk injection,” at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul.

In particular, Mr. Ha investigated the process of administering Propofol under the name of two people, a younger brother and a manager.

In response, Mr. Ha is said to have denied charges related to the administration of propofol for therapeutic purposes.

In a call with SBS, Mr. Ha said, "There was no substance abuse, and that I was treated in another person's name only followed the request of the hospital."

Earlier, Ha explained that the allegation of propofol medication was raised in February, and sleep anesthesia was performed 10 times from January to September 2019 with laser treatment for facial scars.

The prosecution also confirmed that on the 26th of last month, D-group A, a chaebol refrain, was also summoned as a suspect and investigated suspicion of illegally administering propofol.

The prosecution will decide whether to prosecute more than 10 people on board the investigation, including Mr. Ha and Mr. A, before the prosecutor's greeting, which will be carried out as early as this month.
