In Kourou, Russian experts found the cause of toxic fuel leakage

He said that "the cause of the leakage of toxic fuel from the Frigate upper stage at the Kourou spaceport was a valve malfunction"

“After the completion of neutralization (removal of toxic fuel residues. - RT ) of the Frigate oxidizer tanks, it is planned to dismantle the faulty valve and send it to Russia for research,” the spokesman added.

Earlier it was reported that at the Kourou space center, Russian experts examined the Frigate upper stage, in which a toxic fuel leak occurred.

In May, it became known that in the Frigate upper stage, which is stored at the Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana, a leak of toxic oxidizer vapors was recorded.
