It is noted that on June 8, a group of specialists from the NGO Lavochkin “began work on determining the causes for the detection of oxidizer vapor at the storage site of the Frigate upper stage at the Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana.”

According to the press service, "on the first day, an external inspection of the Frigate was carried out and the further scope of the necessary operations was preliminarily determined."

It is reported that the information obtained as a result of the inspection “has already been sent to the Lavochkin NGO for further analysis and development of a set of measures to investigate the causes of an emergency”.

The press service noted that to assess this situation, they brought in specialists who have all the necessary competencies and tolerances to ensure work in special conditions.

“All work is carried out in strict accordance with safety precautions and in compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological requirements of WHO,” the press service added.

Earlier it was reported that in the Russian booster block "Frigate", which is stored at the Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana, a leak of toxic oxidizer vapors was recorded.
