A motorist is actively sought by the police in Évian after having fatally knocked down an elected municipal official Thursday afternoon, according to information gathered by Europe 1. At around 4 p.m., the 35-year-old victim was preparing to get into his vehicle when it was cut by a car, the driver of which fled, witnesses said. Transported to hospital urgently, the young man died of his injuries. He was elected opposition LREM at the town hall of Évian. An investigation is underway to try to find the driver.
