In the space of two weeks, fifteen residents of an Ehpad, in Mougins, on the French Riviera, have died, announced the Regional Health Agency of the Paca region, Tuesday, in a press release. According to this document, they all died from the Covid-19. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, other nursing homes have faced the deaths of residents in France, but on the Côte d'Azur, this is the first time that an establishment has recorded such a heavy toll. The victims, elderly people, died in the hospital for some and for others in this Ehpad of Mougins. This retirement home, called La riviera, has a total of a hundred residents.

Joined by Europe 1, a spokesperson for the establishment managed by the Korian group assured that its priority was to be transparent vis-à-vis families while remaining discreet. He also praised "the extraordinary work of the staff of the retirement home".
Reinforced staff
To keep the Ehpad running, the staff is supported and supported by a home hospitalization team, mobile hygiene and geriatrics teams from the Grasse hospital center, located about ten kilometers away.

The press release from the Regional Health Agency also specifies that from the start of the crisis in France, adequate containment and protection measures have been implemented within the La Riviera retirement home.
