A 55-year-old man died Tuesday morning in the Somme when the utility vehicle he was driving was hit by a regional train, at a crossing, we learned from the emergency services. The 30-year-old passenger was able to escape before the shock, which occurred around 8 a.m. in the town of Condé-Folie.
According to the prefecture, the utility's trailer was blocked when crossing the crossing. The passenger got out to try to unlock it, but to no avail. The train, which was traveling in the Amiens-Abbeville direction and derailed, had 62 passengers on board. The driver was shocked, there were no injuries.
