This time, let's talk about the medical staff and facilities to treat patients. As the number of patients continues to increase, there is no shortage of places to treat them in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. Negative pressure beds that keep viruses out of the way have already filled the surrounding area, requiring patients to be moved far into the metropolitan area.

Today (25th) at dawn, a 119 ambulance arrives at a university hospital in Incheon.

A patient wearing a mask and getting out of an ambulance is a 58-year-old male patient from Daegu.

He walked into the hospital with the help of medical staff in protective clothing, but he was a high risk group because he had pneumonia progressed and he was on dialysis for chronic kidney failure.

The nationally-designated inpatient hospital beds in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Busan are already full and they are about 300km away to Incheon.

Four patients from Qingdao University Hospital were transferred to medical institutions in Seoul and Gyeonggi province yesterday.

As such, patients in Daegu and Gyeongbuk were transported to various parts of the country, and the number of patients confirmed by each region exceeded 70%.

Seoul is over 90%.

Daegu-Gyeongbuk area also lacks beds for mild patients, so it will take a considerable amount of time to confirm the assignment.

[Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare: Kim is planning to secure more than 1,600 beds by this Sunday, so we can minimize hospitalization delays due to lack of these beds.]

Because of this lack of hospitalization, delays in hospitalization can be minimized.

In order to prepare for the surge in patients, the government has appointed local hospitals outside Daegu and Gyeongbuk to designate hospitals dedicated to Corona19 patients.

In addition, the National Anxiety Hospital System, which separates the copper lines of patients with respiratory symptoms and treats them separately, has received applications from 46 hospitals.
