With an investment of three million euros, Revelation is the most spectacular and social blockbuster of the Circus of Horrors. Its director, Suso Silva, wanted to convey a message to the public: planet Earth is suffering, is sick and there is no going back ...
To get here, it has been necessary two years of creation and development of the show that, now, comes to an end in Madrid . Everything arises from the innocent question of a child, the director's son, who does not understand why there are people who have to cross the sea in a patera in which, unfortunately, they die: "What happens to those children dad?" . Silva did not know what to answer. That is why he decided to create Revelation, to "punch the table and contribute my grain of sand," he says. "It's a show in defense of nature."
The most difficult yet ...
Revelation moves the viewer to the moment just after the end of the world. War, disease, environmental chaos, drought and conflicts between races are in order and there are hardly any resources to survive. The narrator is the Regent (played by Silva himself), who serves as a link between the clans trying to dominate the land, fighting with their flamenco and bowler dances, with the jacks of the Maorie clan, with their knife throws , the biker stunts of heart attack and even a monologuist about to immolate himself ...
And all this to reach the only place where there is still some hope, of water, the Source of life . Without a doubt, the most complicated show of the Circus of Horrors.
The two-hour show will not leave anyone indifferent and even removes consciences (some will "come out with tears in their eyes," says Silva). And that is the goal that the director and a team of 95 people wanted to convey after two years of creation, a couple of months of tent assembly and rehearsals. The costumes have been designed and created to break it and give an apocalyptic appearance, until Suso Silva himself takes an hour of characterization to become the Regent.
