Two of the patients identified today (6 days) stayed at home on their own before they had symptoms and did not go outside to meet people. Of course, we need to figure out the exact route, but in the early days, self-isolation led to a slight reduction in contact.

This report was reported by Park Chan Beom.

Patient 21, released today, is the acquaintance of patient 6 with a case of 'tertiary infection'.

Patient 6 had a meal with patient 3 on the 22nd of last month and became 'secondary infection'. After patient 3 was confirmed on 26th last month, the health authorities continued their daily activities without classifying them as close contacts.

Sixteen patients went to church, restaurants, etc., and there were 17 contacts, along with his wife, son, and acquaintance, 21.

In the end, the failure to take self-containment measures for six patients was a painful mistake.

[Eun-Kyung Chung / Head of Disease Control Division (January 31): We should have reclassified the intensity of the sixth patient's contact.

On the other hand, health authorities are also seeing a significant effect on the increase in self-containment on Tuesday.

Patient 22 was immediately quarantined asymptomatic after patient 16, a family member, was confirmed yesterday.

Patient 20, a relative who lives in the same building as patient 15, has been `` positive '' in the self-contained state since the 2nd.

Both patients were quarantined before they had fever or respiratory symptoms, and no contact has been identified who is at risk of infection.

[Kwak Jin / Disease Control Division, Director of New Infectious Diseases: I was tested because of symptoms during the self-containment process.

However, the self-isolation also requires active cooperation from the parties, as it can be effective only if you follow the rules of living such as toweling and refraining from using the kitchen.
