Podcasts are recorded by musician Maxim Makarychev (On-The-Go, Sirotkin) together with the producer of #Pobedy Victory and the host of the Russia Beyond channel, Anya Fedorova. Since 2005, the presenter of RT, Anya Fedorova, has been the face of the Prime Time Russia evening show for six years, based on interviews with a variety of guests; and this experience will affect the quality of the releases.

“For me, the Great Patriotic War is the story of my family. My grandfather, Lieutenant General Stepanov Philip Stepanovich, went to the front at the age of 17: first to the artillery school and only six months later to the North-Western Front as a junior lieutenant. He went through the whole war. For me, war is him, this is my great-grandmother, chemist Militsa Sergeyevna Zolotareva, changing the “splash” for butter from a village woman to feed her and other children who were in her arms in those difficult years, ”said Anna. You can find out more about the “splatter” in the podcasts #Win Sound.

Each episode will become a little more than a conversation or an interview, thanks to the unique musical design of Maxim Makarychev.

Since 2007, Maxim Makarychev has been singing, playing the guitar and writing music for On-The-Go, one of the most successful indie bands in Russia, and since 2019 has also joined the Sirotkin team as a guitarist, vocalist and co-producer.

“The Great Patriotic War for me has always been a set of numbers, terrifying statistics, something infinitely distant and unrealistic. Recording podcasts with Anya, I get acquainted with family stories of the war years, and for me the main discovery was the realization that, in addition to the tragedy and death, there was a life full of love, kindness and care. While working on Sound of Victory, I do not rely on the musical heritage of wartime, but rather follow timeless human emotions and try to recreate them in music that is understandable to me and my peers who are as far from war, ”Makarychev explains his interest in the project.

In the next issues - the legendary television journalist Vladimir Molchanov, cultural expert Megan Virtanen and the creator of the Oda Mae project, Maria Kryzhanovskaya. Podcasts will be exclusively released first on VKontakte and later published on other platforms.

Launched in January 2020, the #Pobeda Victory project tells the story of World War II through the prism of new media and digital art. The project will be published on five platforms with unique content for each. #Pages of Victory will allow to read and feel one of the most critical moments of history on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and VKontakte in a new way.
