The TV presenter explained that refined carbohydrates are glucose, which turns into fat if it is not used up.

She clarified that excessive consumption of refined carbohydrates can cause obesity, cancer, heart attacks, strokes.

“You can eat at least cakes, at least sweets, at least sugar - but in small portions,” she concluded.

Earlier, researchers at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons found that foods high in refined carbohydrates can cause insomnia.
