The prosecution was sentenced to imprisonment by a man in his 30s who was convicted of insulting and assaulting a Japanese woman on a street in the downtown area near Hongik University.

At the hearing of Mr. Bang Mo, 33, who was held at the Seoul District Court's 9th Criminal Justice Park Soo-hyun's hearing on Thursday, the prosecution asked the court to sentence him to three years in prison.

Mr. Bang was arrested on August 23 this year for allegedly insulting and assaulting Mr. A (19) who was passing by near Hongik University Station on Mapo-gu subway line 2.

The prosecution said, "(Bang) has all been homogeneous and committed during the conviction of the same incident."

"The degree of insult is severe, and the crime is bad because of violence against the weak female foreigner," he said.

Mr. Bang said in his final statement, "I'm sorry for the water. I want to apologize to the victim once again."

Bang was assaulted by pulling victim A's hair, and was said to have used words that insulted adult video actors or demeaned Japanese people.

In this case, A was diagnosed with a two-week translocation due to concussion.

Victim A says he wants to punish Mr. Bang in court last month as a witness.

The court sentence for Mr. Bang will take place January 10 next year.
