Six people were injured, including one firefighter who was working on a fire or extinguishing work at a chemical manufacturing plant in Incheon.

After the fire, black smoke pillars soared into the sky, as seen in Songdo International City, more than 15 km away.

According to the Incheon Fire Department, a fire broke out on the third floor of a four-story chemical manufacturing plant around Seoknam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon at about 12:07 noon today. 45 people in the factory building were evacuated immediately.

Five employees in the factory were injured in the fire, and the 119 paramedics were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Two of them were known to be seriously injured by burns. A 38-year-old firefighter was also burned in the face during the fire extinguishing process.

The reporter Ahn In-sook, who was in the opposite building, told SBS reporters, "There was a lot of smoke, smoked and smelled, and I had to wear a mask."

In addition, "because it's a chemical factory, something might explode or be dangerous, so the wind can change, and it's a dangerous moment to be there, so I evacuated to the first floor."

Informer Jeon Hye-ji also said, "If you only smoke, you can see that the fire is huge.

The fire authorities, who received the report, issued an “Operation Level 1,” an alarm order issued by the entire fire department personnel within 10 minutes of the fire, and is working on extinguishing. The fire authorities put 37 equipment, including pump cars, and about 110 firefighters into the fire.

A big fire was caught within three hours of the fire, and fire authorities are cleaning up the remaining fire.

A fired factory is owned by a manufacturer of photographic equipment, a subsidiary of a dye company, that produces photosensitive materials, which are liquid chemicals that go into TVs and monitors. It has a total area of 4,500 square meters in one building on the fourth floor above the ground.

The fire authorities plan to investigate the exact condition and cause of the fire after extinguishing the chemical reaction in the synthesis reaction chamber on the 3rd floor of the plant, leading to a fire after the flame.

The fire department plans to investigate further the exact situation by seeing that two workers were injecting a chemical, dioxolan, into the reactor in the synthesis reaction chamber on the third floor of the plant, and that a spark occurred, leading to a fire.
