The police applied for a warrant for the seizure of a cell phone investigation by prosecutor Investigator A, who was found dead, but criticized the prosecutor's dismissal as "contradiction."

A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official said at a news conference today (Thursday) that the police prosecuted A's cell phone, and the police applied for a warrant for the communication.

The official pointed out that it was self-contradictory that it was difficult for the prosecution to request that the warrant for the contents of the cell phone filed for the same reason were not claimed by the prosecution without a court judgment.

Earlier, the prosecution was issued a seizure search warrant in court to secure the cell phone of Investigator A, who was kept by the police.

The police applied for a warrant to seize the cell phone on two occasions, but the prosecution dismissed allegations that it was difficult to admit the murder.

Police officials say they have to judge criminal charges, including suicide teacher assistance and other coercive situations, and that what is stored on the phone is very important evidence.

The official added that what is stored on the phone could be a key evidence of the motive for death, so he will find a way to share it with due process.

He also repeatedly emphasized that it is more objective and fair to see them together unless they believe in the police.

The official said he would reinforce the considerableness and necessity of the investigation and, if necessary, review whether to reclaim the seizure search warrant.
