Compassion, empathy and heart is what shows the viral video of a child with Down Syndrome that comforts a classmate with autism spectrum disorder. The video, which lasts just over a minute, has already been viewed almost 900,000 times , shared another 25,000 and accumulates HUNDREDS of comments in which they applaud the attitude of both children.
The images, recorded in a school, show a child with Down Syndrome who approaches one of his classmates about to cry and hugs him and caresses him trying not to break crying .
While in the background a calm music is heard, the boy with Down Syndrome caresses his partner's face and touches his nose to get the other child's attention. Seconds later he gives him a hug that lasts a few seconds, kisses his head and embraces him again , while the other child rests his head on his chest.
After patting him on the back, he grabs his arms and starts playing with him in the air, until his friend nods, indicating that he is well and says goodbye by touching his nose again.
Although the school, the place and the identity of the children are unknown, the reactions of those who have seen the video reflect the emotion that the images and gestures of both friends give off.
