Tesla CEO Elon Musk presented the first electric pickup truck of his company in the night from Thursday to Friday. The vehicle has a futuristic design and is available in three variants.

The cheapest version can run more than 400 kilometers on a single battery charge and costs 39,900 dollars (converted to more than 36,000 euros). The most expensive, so-called Cybertruck drives twice the number of kilometers.

The vehicle must be able to tow over one hundred thousand kilos and can accommodate six people. Bullets and breakers would not leave a scratch, says Musk.

The Tesla CEO has been talking about a potential Tesla pick-up truck for years. In 2012 he played with the idea of delivering such a vehicle with a futuristic design for the first time. In 2016, Musk called it concrete in his future plans for the American automaker.

The truck will be the fifth model in the Tesla range, in addition to the well-known Model 3, Model S, Model X and Model Y. The latter model was presented earlier this year and should start production this summer. The Tesla Roadster will follow in the near future.

Pick-up truck popular, but can you park it in the city?
