Snap, the company behind Snapchat, has made an overview of political advertisements public, including advertisements that have been shown in the Netherlands. It is about advertising about political candidates or political topics.

The ad library indicates which company has paid for the ad, how often the ad has been seen by Snapchat users, and the amount spent on the ad.

It is also visible whether the advertiser has focused his advertising on people of a specific gender, an age category, location, interests and whether the advertisement was visible to only Android or iOS users.

With his library, Snap is following, among others, Facebook and Twitter, which came under pressure after the 2016 US presidential election to be more transparent about political advertisers. This followed Russia's attempts to influence the elections.

Interested parties can download an archive of all political Snapchat ads from 2018. A provisional overview of advertisements from 2019 can also be found.
