The fire in a hotel in Odessa, Ukraine, has killed eight people and injured 10 people in the night from Friday to Saturday, Ukrainian emergency services said.

65 firefighters and 13 mobilized vehicles

The Tokyo Star hotel fire started at 1:30 am (10:30 pm Friday night GMT) and could only be turned off three hours later with the intervention of 65 firefighters and 13 vehicles, the authorities said.

Odessa, a large port city on the Black Sea, located about 500 km south of Kiev, is also a seaside resort that attracts tourists in summer.
