A Portuguese truck driver, suspected of raping two students in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, was arrested and indicted on 2 August, according to information from the Parisian .
"Important psychological trauma"
The investigators made the connection between the rape of a 22-year-old Chinese student on 21 July at the beginning of the Bois de Boulogne and that of an 18-year-old French woman on 17 May. "The two young women have defended themselves and both suffer from some bruises in addition to a significant psychological trauma," said a source close to the case on a daily basis, Thursday.
The man, in his forties, was arrested on 31 July. To the police, he allegedly said that these sexual relations were granted, according to Le Parisien. Investigators are now looking for other potential victims. "As he is a driver, we emit the idea that he could, according to his travels, have committed other rapes everywhere in France and perhaps even abroad," said the same police source.
