But now it's time to wait instead of park. Because although the industry is booming, the necessary parking sign in the highway code is missing. The service providers are desperately waiting for this: In a letter to Scheuer, the German Car Sharing Association warns that the municipalities would suspend the launch of new projects for shared cars because they "wait for the publication of the official traffic sign announced long ago".

However, for once it seems that it is not legal or otherwise regulatory factors that slow down the project, but artistic ones. The sign at least, whose design is currently in circulation, looks like his own caricature: The icon of the Ministry shows four human silhouettes and a car that is cut in the middle - as if this is an emergency stop for broken cars.

The Greens, scorned by Scheuer as a prohibition party, exhort them to make a comprehensible pictogram. "Transport Minister Scheuer talks a lot about the future of mobility, but when it comes to measures, things will become very quiet," says Green Transport expert Oliver Krischer.
